Kristina is a Filipina American visual artist and educator working primarily with photography and digital illustration. She resides in Fort Worth, Texas with her husband and daughter.
She studied sketching, journaling, and figure drawing in Florence, Italy, and received a B.F.A. magna cum laude from the University of North Texas.
Kristina's work has been exhibited throughout the North Texas area in galleries including the Art Center of Waco, Gallery of Dreams, as well as online exhibitions for the National Art Educators Association, Texas Art Educators Association, and ArtSpace 111.
In 2020, she was featured on WFAA's #UpWithHer in an interview with Kara Sewell. Additionally, she has two published book illustrations. Her work can be seen on the cover of the post-apocalyptic novel Veiled Ignite, as well as the cover and inside illustrations of I Want to Go. Her piece, Motherhood, received Best of Show and Honorable Mention in various shows. Anna, from her Character series, was featured in the NAEA Members Exhibition and in the PDK International March 2021 Issue.
As an educator, Kristina has received multiple grants in 2019 and 2021 from the EMS ISD Education Foundation, totaling $11,000 to build her graphic design program. Kristina is passionate about education and is highly involved at her institution.
She is currently obtaining her M.A. in Art Education at the Art of Education University. She has also presented and co-hosted at the NOW Conference and is a current writer for the Art of Education Magazine.
Most recently, Kristina has re-discovered her faith in the Lord and uses her art as a form of worship in her home and in her church. She is a member of her church's worship team as a live-painting artist twice a month.
